The sun is shining brightly on my little deck garden this morning and the crystals hanging from from my window are shedding rainbows on the wall. How inviting this feels as I gaze out on to my little domain, how fortunate I am in this moment of time.
Now the wind rustles my chimes and their deep throated melody engages me further. I listen to the birds chirping, and see the trees waving their leafy arms as if to beckon me outside into the day. I’m coming, I respond.
I pour my breakfast tea into a favorite china mug and make my way out onto my deck and the swing that always invites me to sit a spell. It will be a warm day, but for now, the morning air remains fresh with expectation, and I am in the mood to reflect upon all I have. And to be thankful.
“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”
Meister Eckhart
