One Steep at a Time….
Time has passed. Now we are living with a pandemic and worldwide and domestic worries… Through all this, for me, there has been tea. The soothing morning and afternoon ritual of finding time to steep and embrace a moment of peace as I wait for those little leaves to do their magic.
The water heats, I choose my tea and then spoon the leaves into my infuser – silently thanking all those whose hard work have brought these leaves to me.
The water is ready, I pour it over the leaves and watch them twirl as they begin to open and impart their fragrance and flavor into my cup.
And now I wait, the 1-5 minutes it takes for my tea to steep. It’s time to be still and grateful for what I have in this moment. I take a deep breath and silently give thanks.
My cuppa is ready and with each sip I feel refreshed and calm. Cheers to all of you who have been with me on this journey through life with tea. And welcome to all who have yet to join me along the way.
